A lot of things have been said about Botox, and throughout the wide spectrum of opinions ranging from good to bad, the objective truth about it is that it can be used to do a lot of positive things for a lot of people.

The key to having a fair appreciation of Botox is to see it for the opportunities that it brings for people who want to improve the quality of their lives through a renewed self-confidence.

Botox is a muscle relaxant that has been used in medicine for 50 years. It can be used to treat children with cerebral palsy, children or adults with uncontrollable muscle twitching, and adults with overactive bladder. Essentially, any muscle in the body can be relaxed with Botox.

It has been used for many years in high doses regularly in a wide group of patients with a broad range of ages. This is important because here at L'ART, safety and practising evidence-based medicine is paramount.

Botox is commonly used in aesthetic medicine, often to relax frown lines. Here at L'ART, we are fully aware that relaxing frown lines requires precision injection techniques to avoid a heavy brow making you look more tired and angry after having Botox for the sake of having a frozen forehead.

Achieving a natural and refreshed appearance with Botox hinges on one crucial element: precision. At L'ART, we understand that it's only through a meticulous assessment of each patient that we can masterfully balance the various muscles responsible for elevating and depressing the eyebrow. It's this level of precision that sets us apart and ensures that you leave our clinic looking brighter, less tired, and utterly refreshed.

Our practice frequently welcomes patients who have experienced dissatisfaction and even trauma from treatments administered elsewhere. We're all familiar with the unflattering images of celebrities who've had Botox administered incorrectly. This underscores the paramount importance of choosing an experienced injector who can craft a bespoke, personalized treatment plan designed exclusively for you.

Your face is unique, and so are your aesthetic goals. We believe that a one-size-fits-all approach simply doesn't work in the world of Botox. That's why we prioritize individualized treatment plans that cater to your specific needs and desires.

With an experienced injector at your side, you can embark on a Botox journey that ensures natural- looking, rejuvenating results. Say goodbye to tired and heavy brows, and hello to a brighter, more refreshed you.

At L'ART, precision is not just a practice; it's our promise. Discover the transformative power of precision in Botox treatments and entrust your beauty to the experts who care about your unique needs and aspirations.

We achieve the best version of you by injecting very precise micro quantities of Botox into specific muscles - just enough to create the perfect balance in the upper or lower part of the face and neck.

We avoid over-injecting an area - for instance, the forehead muscle, which is involved in lifting the eyebrows, or even the smile muscles (crow's feet).

Botox treatment is very much dependent on the individual's skin quality, particularly around the upper and lower eyelids. This is something that we will assess and talk about in depth during our initial consultation.

The same principles are applied when creating the perfect harmony and balance between the upper and the lower face. There are several muscles in the lower face whose force when activated, exerts downwards. When we relax these muscles, only the upward-pulling muscles of the face will work with no downward force, giving you a refreshed and rested, but natural look. The key is for no one to notice that you have had any work done, which is the outcome of a precise injecting technique tailored to the individual.

Refreshing the area around your mouth.

Orange peel skin also known as Peau D?Orange: The reason why the skin overlying your chin begins to dimple. This is due to overactivity of mentalis muscle which can be relaxed using Botox.

Downturn mouth corners: Do you receive comments that you look unhappy? As we age the corners of the mouth begin to turn downwards. This can be remedied by relaxing Depressor Angular Oris muscle the effect of which is further enchanced when combined with my signature techniques which also use HA based dermal fillers.

Smoker?s lines: Due to excessive pursing of the lips and loss of elasticity over time. Orbicularis Oris muscle is the culprit and careful injection can soften the effect of this muscle taking care not to effect function like drinking from a straw or whistling ( important for dog-owners ).

Nefertiti Neck Lift

Sometimes known as a botox facelift using carefully placed injections in the Platsymal muscles in the neck and along the jawline. This has the effect of relaxing all the muscles that are pulling the jawline and neck downwards allowing only the facial elevator muscles to work unopposed. The effect a defined jawline and neck hence the name Nefertiti after the Egyptian Queen with her long slender neck.

Masseter Hypertrophy, sometimes known as Bruxism

A medical condition that arises from patients developing the habit of teeth grinding, especially while asleep at night. Since this muscle which is normally used for chewing or mastication is overstimulated, it may cause a change in the shape of the lower face, not to mention the wearing down of the back teeth as well as contributing to tension headaches. Patients are often given mouth guards by their dentist to wear at night in the hope of protecting their teeth and expensive dental reconstruction. The excess pressure produced by the tension in this muscle can also damage the Temporomandibular Joint leading to a clicky painful jaw. Patients often wake up in the morning with a tightness in the jaw and consequential headaches. Muscle relaxing injections in the masseter muscle as well as slimming down the face can reduce headaches.

Facial sweating and excessive sweating under the arms

Sometimes known as hyperhidriosis, this can be one of the most socially embarrassing and debilitating conditions that one can experience. Unknown to many, with skill and expertise we can relax the muscles around the sweat glands using Botox to reduce sweating, significantly improving your quality of life.

The art lies in not affecting any other muscle other than those specifically targeted to reduce sweat (especially for the face and hair).

Possibly one of the most rewarding treatments that we perform here at L?ART. Our patient testimonials about the life changing effect this treatment has are pure joy!

"I wouldn't use anyone else. There's so much attention to detail and never an upsell ... I've been using Dr Minocha for around 10 years and still look positively "not done"."
