WHAT ARE ANTI- WRINKLE INJECTIONS?

CAN I HAVE MY CONSULTATION AND TREATMENT ON THE SAME
You are welcome to have treatment at the same time as your consultation provided both you and the doctor are happy to proceed.
WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS AFTER ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS?
You may start to notice the treatment working after a few days; however, it takes between 2-3 weeks before your full results are visible. You will always be seen in clinic for a review appointment around this time to make sure you are completely happy with your results.
DO ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS HURT?
Botulinum Toxin is administered using a series of small and precise injections. You may feel a mild stinging sensation as the treatment is carried out. Bruising and redness is rare, and you can go about your day as normal after the treatment.
WHO IS NOT SUITABLE FOR ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS?
We cannot treat anyone who is:
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
- Suffering from a neuromuscular disorder such as Myasthenia Gravis, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) or Lambert-Eaton Syndrome.
- Allergic to Botulinum Toxin or the proteins used to make it.
- Currently taking medications such as Aminoglycoside antibiotics, muscle relaxants or anticholinergics, as these may interfere with Botulinum Toxin and increase your risk of side effects.
